In-app video calls

Starting the 1:1 video call inside a session, what your client has to tap, and the camera and microphone prompt.

Psy180 can run a 1:1 video call inside the same session as the bilateral stimulation, so there is no second window to manage.

  • Starting it. 📹 Video Session on the create screen opens a new session with the call already starting and copies the client link; ▶ Start Video in the session bar does the same during a session already running. Your browser asks to use your camera and microphone the first time.
  • What your client does. A 📹 Join Video button appears on their screen. Nothing starts on its own — only when they tap it does their browser ask for their camera and microphone. Not now puts the button in the corner; they can join later.
  • Sound. The session's bilateral audio and the call are separate. Turning the session sound on never asks for a microphone; the call does, because it is a two-way call.
  • Where the call goes. Browser to browser, encrypted in transit. When a network blocks a direct connection, it falls back to an encrypted relay run by Psy180 so the call still connects.
  • Recording. Psy180 never records or stores the call.
  • Plan. In-app video is part of the paid plan, and every account has it for its first month. Without it the button reads 🔒 Video Session and the session still runs — share your own telehealth link alongside it.

See it in the app: the 📹 Video Session button and ▶ Start Video in the session bar (/session)
